Gia Earring featuring Natural Chrysocolla-Malachite and Peridot
Gia earrings in 18 karat white gold featuring natural Chrysocolla-Malachite accented by a pair of shining Peridot. The Chrysocolla-Malachite pair weighs 8.25 carats and is from the Inspiration Mine in the State of Arizona, USA while the 1.09 carat pair of Peridot were mined on the San Carlos Apache Reservation, also in Arizona.
Earrings are made with a heavy 10 mm parabolic friction nut for comfort and to prevent tipping.
Chrysocolla, linked to the Throat Chakra, enhances communication, self-expression, and emotional balance. It aids in speaking and listening with truth and confidence while soothing emotions and releasing deep-seated anger. Often found with turquoise and malachite, Chrysocolla’s calming presence is akin to the serene beauty of summer seas.
Peridot, connected to the Heart Chakra, fosters love, joy, and inner peace, encouraging the flow of compassion and harmonious relationships. Its vibrant green symbolizes abundance and growth, promoting health and restful sleep. As August’s birthstone, Peridot’s historical significance includes being mistaken for emeralds in Cleopatra’s collection.
About the Gia Design Series – An Homage to Earth’s Splendor: Cynthia Renee, drawing on her background as a geologist, weaves the wonders of Earth into wearable art in the Gia series. Each piece, featuring polished rock or mineral, is a conduit that binds the wearer to Earth’s mesmerizing beauty and profound energy.
In days past, we were intimately connected to the elements, feeling the cool kiss of the breeze, the rhythm of the seasons, and the rain on our skin. Heaven and Earth were intertwined, their bond reflected in sacred objects and rituals, and these beautiful relics offered a comforting sense of unity with the world around us.
The evolution of our society, driven by relentless industrialization, has distanced us from these elemental ties. Yet, the Gia series seeks to bridge this gap. Each piece, thoughtfully designed to encapsulate vibrant gems, stands as a testament to life’s inherent beauty. They offer an escape, an opportunity for our imagination to soar, reminding us of our innate connection to the Earth and the nourishment it provides.
