THE STORY

Peridot is associated with the Heart Chakra, our source of love, in all its forms with the ability to both give and receive love.

Peridot also brings a deep calm and is known as the “Stone of Compassion” bringing health, restorative sleep and peaceful relationships harmonizing body, mind and spirit.

Peridot is a birthstone for August. Cleopatra’s famous “emeralds” were really Peridot from the Egyptian island of Zebargad.

THE CREATION

The rough crystal eventually cutting this fine gem was from the Khyber Pass area of Pakistan. Burma (Myanmar) and Pakistan are known for producing some of the world’s largest and finest quality peridot.

This fine peridot was custom-cut, starting with the rough crystal, so careful attention was paid to the proportions, symmetry and facet positioning, so light fully reflects from the gem bringing out its greatest beauty.  This Peridot is naturally colored, with no enhancements.

The Trellis open-weave basket design gives flashes of the gem’s color and light as it is worn on the hand.

White- and rose-gold were used to layer upon the peridot’s verdant hue.

THE ELEMENTS

This “Trellis” ring features a 19.46 carats white topaz (14 mm cushion-cut) set in 18 karat rose gold “trellis” basket with 18 karat yellow gold shank. The ring is a size 7, but we can size it to fit.

Trellis rings are also great stacked with other band rings, even a wedding band.
